The owner's story
Co-owned by husband-and-wife duo Carolina A. Martínez Soriano and Raymundo Suero Alvarez, Carmel Café began as a passion project in their home kitchen under Carmel Home Baked. Driven by a desire to build a welcoming neighborhood gathering spot in Kyle, Texas, Raymundo brought the vision to life by custom-building the mobile trailer and taking charge of business operations, while Carolina leads recipe development, daily café operations, and signature drink builds. Open all week, with Raymundo joining Carolina at the trailer on weekends, they blend warm hospitality, Dominican heritage, and craft coffee to serve their community.
